Porsche Miami, FL
Their beauty and performance inspire longing. Their luxury is the stuff of legend. Their eye-catching design and well-known crest are instantly recognizable to anyone who sees one. This is Porsche. But what makes a Porsche so special? What makes it such a unique and remarkable brand that creates even more remarkable motor cars?
Since its inception at the hands of founder Ferdinand Porsche in 1948, Porsche has been associated with power; luxury; craftsmanship; personalization; performance; selection; and much more. Serving as examples of these traits are the Porsche 911 GT3, Porsche Panamera, and the Porsche Cayenne.
A 435 horsepower luxury coupe, the Porsche 911 GT3 is powered by a rear 3.8 liter flat 6-cylinder engine with VarioCam, capable of 0-60 in only 4 seconds and a top speed of 194 mph. It features a 6-speed manual transmission with dual-mass flywheel and hydraulic clutch and a sport exhaust system with central dual tailpipes, speeding off on 19" GT3 wheels with 235/35 ZR 19 front and 305/30 ZR 19 rear tires. With a wide range of optional equipment to choose from, options such as Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), front lift system, Chrono Package, Chrono Package Plus, and the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) are only the beginning.
The Porsche Panamera is the first sedan offered by the auto maker. Driven by a front 3.6 liter V6-cylinder engine with active all-wheel drive; Direct Fuel Injection system (DFI); and VarioCam Plus, it easily achieves 300 horsepower; a top speed of 159 mph; and 0-60 in 5.8 seconds (5.6 with the Chrono Package Plus). A 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission with manual actuation and automatic mode make a highway fuel economy of 26 MPG possible, while front 8 J x 18-inch Panamera S alloy wheels with 245/50 ZR 18 summer tires and rear 9 J x 18-inch Panamera S alloy wheels with 275/45 ZR 18 summer tires offer the driver an excellent ride. Replete with options, optional equipment such as the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Heated Front and Rear Seats, Front and Rear ParkAssist with Reversing Camera, and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) make it a sedan that can easily rival its competitors.
And then there is the SUV with class, the Porsche Cayenne. The Cayenne features a front 3.6 liter V6 engine with all-wheel drive and your choice of either a 6-speed manual transmission with dual mass flywheel and integrated Porsche Drive-Off Assistant or a 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox. With 300 horsepower behind it, its top speed can hit 142 mph, with 0-60 capability in just 7.1 seconds (7.4 with Tiptronic). Options are extensive and copious, including such items as Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment; Driver Memory Package; Lane Change Assist (LCA); Porsche Entry & Drive; Panorama Roof System; and an Air Suspension with Self-leveling and Height Adjustment with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), an electronic damping control system.
